🍰 My daughter was so excited to make her own 18th birthday cake to celebrate with her friends and family … but then COVID-19 the coronavirus social distancing happened! 😜😫😲😭
She wanted to do a colour reveal cake, not to show her gender, like they do with baby gender reveal cakes, but to show which color of the rainbow was her personal colour and how it related to all that was going on in our world as the pandemic with COVID 19 started to spread across the globe.
Self-isolation or social distancing quarantine had not yet been a legal thing to do but we had already decided to do that because I am a vulnerable person with vulnerable lungs from my near death experience with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) so we had already decided to only have Xanthe’s girlfriend over on her special day to celebrate her 18th birthday.
Even though she was heart broken to have to keep her special cake all to our household and not share it with her friends and family, I still think she did a beautiful job! Please give her a kind, supportive comment below and a thumbs up to let her know to keep on baking more wonderful rainbow cakes and to wish her a happy birthday!
