It was Halloween last weekend and we always enjoy dressing up and going trick-or-treating with our kids. This year I was a vampire queen, my husband was a pirate, my daughter a princess and my son a Ninja.
We always have a great time with friends and family. One of our friends is really into Halloween and they go all out. Their front yard is completely decorated with all sorts of automated things, like thunder and lightning, opening caskets when people walk past, giant flying bats and much more.
Our Halloween dinners are always a treat to the eye as well and it looks more gruesome every year and it still tastes great. For desert we had a cake, which our friends made. It was a real cool cake that I would love to show off here.
The cake was of a dead bird, I think it is a raven.
The kids always have their dinner first and then the adults have dinner and some time off of the kids.
So the kids had desert first and what was really cool, was that we took a slice out of the bird cake and pasted it back together and it still looked in one piece. So when we had our dinner the cake still looked the piece.
This cake was just too cool not to show off, even if I did not make it myself.
