I just love frosting! Don’t you like to take a fingerful of frosting after it is
mixed just to see how it tastes? Yummy, yummy!
One of my favourites is a decadent whipped cream and cream cheese
frosting which I lovingly refer to as my “cream cream” frosting. My kids
and I fight over who is going to lick the bowl with the cream cream
frosting left over. They usually win. ;o)
I’m not great at exact measurements, I simply mix a package of cream
cheese with some thick whipped cream. I just go by my own testing for
the amount, about a cup of already whipped cream and then I simply add
some fresh lemon juice for flavour and icing sugar to sweeten it to taste.
There are so many ways of making cream cream frosting too. Here’s a
super affordable book I just found last week with some of the most incredibly
yummy icing recipes I ever heard of. (and it’s only about $3 bucks!)

Cream cream frosting needs the right consistency to spread easy. Do
you spread your cream cream frosting with a big spatula or do you
sometimes use a dinner knife? I use both, depending on what I’m working
on.
Putting your cream cream frosting cakes or cupcakes in the refrigerator
to chill make good sense too. Sometimes my cream cream frosting
can be alittle soft and this will harden them up for me.
Speaking of temperatures, use a chilled mixing bowl, room temp cream
cheese and confectioner’s sugar for a de-lish cream cream frosting!
Oh my goodness! There are so many choices to make when you make
cream cream frosting. I love having choices, don’t you? ;o)
You can change the taste and look of your cream cream frosting simply
by substituting one ingredient with another ingredient. Imagine, just with
a few simple variations, you can create different flavors and different
colors. Cream cream frosting variations are endless!

even had a recipe for an avocado icing! The base is avocado instead
of butter or shortening! Incredible! And healthy too! ;o)
A friend of mine made peppermint-flavored cream cream frosting and
used green liquid food coloring to match the flavoring. Using different
colored liquid food coloring in your cream cream frosting makes for
contrast.
